Thick Cut Pork with Tokachi Sauce Mixed Rice Omusubi (Brown Rice)

We have picked the Kin no Ibuki brown rice produced only in Miyagi Prefecture for the omusubi. The rice grains have a distinctive, chewy texture and sweetness, which is a filling and health-conscious choice filled with nutrients. The stuffing is inspired by the Tokachi Butadon (pork rice bowl) from Hokkaido’s Tokachi district and using a recipe based on that of a local established restaurant, a secret sweet sauce is created and applied to specially selected thick-cut pork slices before grilling them to bring out their meaty flavour.
